    It's not possible to get the upgrade offer unless you create a new account. This offer is only available on a new account creation.

    I said no to upgrading to GOLD, but now want to access the 30 day free trial without having to put up another account. How do I do this?

    Hi! Do you have a link to the promo offer which states that you receive one free month of Xbox Live Gold? I think the only way to get a free trial these days is if a 48hours or 2 weeks trial code comes with your console.

    If you are eligible for a free trial of gold, you will see a deal for it on your dashboard, otherwise you could always purchase a subscription through the

    Microsoft Store     or a code through local retailer.

    Hello Rude - the trial cannot be retroactively applied. Did you create your account on a console or Xbox.com? If console, was it a new console, or pre-owned?
