    Free Month on Live Gold not working


    Hello,

    I acticated my Free Month of Gold, using a credit card, but my region is USA and I'm from Brazil.

    But it's not working on my Xbox. It is Xbox LIVE Free and not Gold yet.

    What should I do?

    When I try to activate the free month again, the site won't let me.

    Free 1 month live Gold not working.

    Call Cx support, if you get the right person and ask nicely you may be able to get 1 month of xbox live gold as a trial.

    Contact support through here:
    support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

    In the event that they can not help you, your only other option will be to pay for the one month subscription.

    Free 1 month live Gold not working.

    Okay, so, I never used that "free 1 month you have with a new account" neither bought any gold subscription on my account.

    Today I Found it on the xbox.com site, and tried to get it, with a payment method and everything.

    Problem is, I managed to "redeem" it, and it showed for a moment that I had it on my account, but when I went on to my Xbox 360, it didn't show that I had Xbox live gold, and when I refreshed the page, it wasn't showing that I had too.

    I got this:

    So I went on Commerce.Microsoft.com, and it shows this:

    So, I can't try and get a new Trial, nor use the currently I "have" because, somehow, I don't actualy have it.

    What can I do?

    PS. I am from Brazil and I used a Brazilian credit card but the site was switched to "Brazil Region" on the purchase.

    It sometimes takes a couple of hours for the system to recognize your Gold status, but if you're still having an issue I would call or chat with Microsoft at
    support.xbox.com/contact-us . Make sure you choose Chat with Microsoft report, not the one about a volunteer from the community because they won't have access to your account. I don't think it
    will cause this, but having your region set incorrectly can cause many weird issues too. For help correcting this, see

    support.xbox.com/.../change-xbox-live-country-region

    The 3 free 1 month gold subscriptions are for NEW gamer tags that are created on the console. If you have an existing gamer tag the free month won't work. In order to get the free months start at login.live.com and sign up for a WLID (windows live id). Once
    your email has been validated go to the console and create your new profile. Once created it will ask if you want to join Live or go Gold. One of the options should be to "Upgrade later". Once you click on that you will have your free 1 month of gold.

    If you're looking to get some sort of promotions for months of gold take a look at the active promotions available on XBOX Live.

    EPIX Free Month of XBOX Live Gold

    IGN Free Month of XBOX Live Gold

    Both require you to have a credit card attached to your account.

    There are also a couple of dashboard deals that you can try out (they show up on your XBOX 360 Dashboard from time to time) $1 for 1 month or $2 for 2 months.
