    I signed up for the free month trial yesterday, and then followed the instructions to cancel the auto-renew (in case I decide not to keep using it), but now it is saying I don't have a gold subscription?

    Free Gold for 1 month and Gold for $1 for 1 month = 2 months for $1?

    Update. I just activated the free trial successfully and when I did the 1 month for $1 deal disappeared from the list. So I guess I couldn't do 2 months for $1. Ah well.

    Sorry to hear it. What you'll need to do is contact phone support for more assistance with this as it is a billing issue that only they can handle.

    i've just been in touch with Microsoft. I bought a new console 3 weeks ago havin replaced my old 1, once i uploaded my current gamer profile, the 1 month free Gold Membership disappeared. I was under the assumption all new consoles got a free month, this
    apparently isn't the case. You can set up 3 new profiles on the new console but existing profile are not included
