Free Gold game not able to be added to my account now

This is what I am getting now after my son had disconnected the phone line when I was trying to get the free game available for this early part of the month. I am so angry at him right now but really need a resolution to this. I have two live accounts for
the household with Xbox Live Gold and want to add the free games.

Can't Download July Game with Gold

Sorry but the account your are posting with is a Silver account, not Gold. You would need to have a Gold membership in order to download the game. If you have added a Free Trial card please note that that is not a Gold membership and cannot be used to
get the free games.

Adding free account to Gold Family Account

If we add a Free Xbox gamer account to our Gold Family Account, does convert them to the Gold Account status as well? If NOT, how must this be addressed? We added a friend last night but their account information still shows Free account.

As switches mentioned it wasn't free with games with gold it was a free play werkend

Now that it's over you would have to pay to keep the game but you still have the adding you just won't be able to use them till you pay

FYI it's on sale now with deals with gold

I have had this issue for over a week. I tried adding to the cart and then the 'Place Order' button is just greyed out, tried another clean browser and no go there also. I decided to give their chat a try and the chat person (Honey) was able to "refresh" my account and after a logout and login it was now working from the Games with Gold page, but when adding to the cart it was still the same. Since it is working somewhere I was now able to get the free games. I hope this helps you if the above suggestions have not.
