    hello, I've been made aware that free games don't require an Xbox live subscription to play online anymore

    i have tested this on a free game and it still requires a subscription to launch online multiplayer

    if anyone could help me i will be very thankful.

    The monthly free Gold game for July 16, 2018 is not free even though it says it is. It is splinter cell: conviction.
    Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing here. I'm sure they'll sort it out soon. Its a great game, can't wait to replay it.
