    Free games with GOLD should be left free if you had GOLD when released


    Free games with GOLD is a great idea but if you miss the window of opportunity to get the games, you have to pay for the games that were offered for free.

    I think that if you had your paid subscription active at the time the games were offered you should still be able to get them.

    I was in the hospital and unable to access my XBOX for a while and now that I am out, Microsoft is penalising me even though my account was active at the time the games were offered....

    If you have a free trial subscription and you get gold it will activate but the remaining time you had left on the free trial subscription will be gone

    You should of got a trial gold pass also with the console or when you sign up for a Gamertag I think you get a month free.
    The games with gold change tomorrow so try and sign up today to get the best out of this months games.

    That's good to know. I had a feeling they'd allow it. If you're subscribed to gold, you should be able to get all the free games they release.

    On the console, the Microsoft Account should show in the top left corner. If it's not the same account you added the Gold to, then you'd need to sign into that account on the console to use the Gold on the console.

    Correct, free-to-play games like Fortnight do not require a Gold subscription.

    If you really wont the free game purchase a months gold for 5.99 and you will qualify for the next 2 free gold games as well.
