Free Games With Gold Question.

I know games with gold are backwards compatible from now on, but I have a question. I have my xbox 360 still and my xbox one. Can I get the free games with gold on both consoles, or can I only install it to either or at a time? Or do I have to have it licensed
to only one of them and it can't be changed?

Why can't I play the digital games I own?

If the digital games in question were free games with gold you need gold membership to play them again

 

You can get them on both consoles. I would recommend downloading to the Xbox 360 first, then you can download the game on the Xbox one later if you so wish.

 

Why for the xbox 360 first? I have limited space on my 360, so as I would like to get the games on my 360 I kind of trade them out. I make sure I add the games to my account when they become available for free so I can later download them and play.

 

You do not actually have to download the game to your 360. You download the game, cancel the installation and clear the data it used up.

 

Otaku, I don't do it on my 360, I use the website, every new free game comes out, I put it to my account, but I don't install them usually, at least not the 360 ones, but if I ever do want to, they are on my account.
