Guacamelee has scored 88% from critics on metatcritic's website - that means it's probably not as bad as some people say it is (because they'd be in the minority). I have to say, I've found it quite fun so far...

Hmm... I'm sure I just read through this whole thread without one person giving details as to why they thought the game was so bad? Can someone please give their opinion? Was it the controls or something? I actually thought I might enjoy this, but won't
be putting it on for a while.

I beat it the other day. Took me a little over 6 hours. I just couldn't put it down.

How is anything for free a bad thing? Metacritic is still garbage though.........how is 30 peoples opinions better than ones right??????

Right, I'm changing My stance on Guacamelee. I wasn't even going to bother downloading it because it didn't look like a game I'd want to play. Anyway, I did decide to give it a go....... It turn's out it's extremely addictive and a lot of fun. If like Me
you weren't going to try it, I'd say it's definitely worth a pop. Glad I decided to try it now.

and averages them together - it gives you a pretty good idea of the general stance on a game overall rather than just one opinion that may or may not be biased.

...and this is why demos can be a good thing - if the game is good, it can draw in more people. Demos, IMO, should be a requirement because it forces games to be developed better as they'll have to stand on their own merits as a quality product much like
Guacamelee is apparently doing.

i played for about an hour and a half and lost the save, since then though it seems to have kept

well after playing the game for an hour the other day, I have to say, don't go on how it starts, it gets interesting as you unlock powers and combos, very good game actually, and that in my eyes is value for money especially when it is free.
