free games with gold not working(saints row 4)

april 16, xbox1, UK; free games with gold is AGAIN not functioning correctly, i downloaded sunset overdrive free, no problems, however, saints row 4(360 version) wasnt available at first n now it is available, will not download. I keep being taken to 'show
price' instead of'free with gold'(install) n then on to 'payment options/method'etc... a)iv never had and never will put any credit card details online, b)i only ever have this or similar issue with your 'backward compatability games' i have gold, i gave you my
money n give you it regularly n loyaly(5/6 years now). Surely your not going to start forcing players to have a credit card registered when theres literally no need, deffitenately no need if its for a 'free with gold' game n again im happily giving you my
money for subscriptions via other means.I hope this is just a systems/upload issue at your end when making games live for the marketplace. hopefully n sincerely... , nice civil n concise post i think, cheerio chaps

Games with Gold - Saints Row 4 -No Download Button/Tile "Fix"

Hi All,

I had an issue with downloading the free Saints Row 4 through Games with Gold and thought it would be nice to share how I solved this (with the help of online support).

Problem:

1. Accessing Games with Gold via the x360 main screen and selecting Saints Row 4 presented a screen without a download option (so couldn't download via this channel).

2. Logging into xbox live via web and selecting Saints Row 4 from Games with Gold download resulted in an error message of "game not available in your region"

Resolution:

Search for Saints Row 4 from Games menu on x360. There are two hits that look like the game box. One gives you the download option with gold. The other doesn't and appears to be the same as the one linked to the Games with Gold shortcut on the main screen.
I selected the the one that had the download button and it is currently downloading (so should work).

I also suggested (to support) to update the shortcut on games with gold from the main x360 screen from the one without the download button/tile to the one with.

HTH others who have the same issue.

 

Saints Row IV DLC

The Saints Row IV DLC is not included with the Games with Gold. Xbox One has the re-mastered "Saints Row IV: Re-Elected" title, which includes over $80 worth of DLC. But at this moment, the backwards compatible Saints Row IV from Xbox 360 does not come with
DLC with Games with Gold.

ps. 'I switched it off n on again' hehee.... so it must be your end, hopefully, i want to play it n everyone else is il spit my dummy out n kick the pram over n then rip my teddy bears head off in prostest n entightlement rage, joking..... maaaybe....

The 360 store is set up differently than the web store/One store. 360 games require a payment method to be on file in order to purchase them (regardless of whether they're free or not) unless you purchase them directly from a 360 console. Unless they update
the system sometime in the future, there is no way around that.

 

Same problem were. Free game cant download asking for credit card. Fix or i m seeling my 2 xboxone and going for ps4.

Frist game it does this.

I have no cards.
