Free games with Game Pass

Free only while you have the subscription.

They're free to play while you have the subscription. You can purchase them with a discount while you have the subscription if you want to keep them.

Free with Game Pass means you can play them without purchasing the games while you have a Game Pass subscription. Once you lose the subscription, you will no longer have access to those games.

Free with Gold are Games with Gold games. You can redeem the for free, but you need a Gold subscription to continue playing them for free.

Check the terms of the Game Pass offer that comes with your laptop...you may find that it is for new subscribers only. If it is, then you won't be able to redeem it if you have already redeemed another GP offer as the system would no longer consider you a new subscriber.
