Free Games On Members Area?

Is this USA only because I cant even find a members area?

I have xbox live free trial with my new console but have cancelled it from renewing, is that why there are no free games?

Fable 3 on Demand Free?

Xbox Live Gold members will get two free games per month until the Xbox One launches in November, and first up on July 1 is Halo 3 and Assassin's Creed 2. In June, Gold members can snag Fable 3 for free.

 

Xbox Monthly Free Games and Microsoft Store

I know that Xbox does 2 free games a month for gold members,will they also be available on the Microsoft store for free to?

 

You cannot download the free Games with Gold titles on a gold membership trial. You would have to buy a 1, 3 or 12 month gold membership to gain all gold benefits.

The main thing the gold trials let you do, is try out online multiplayer. This would also be the reason you cannot see the "members area" you mentioned.

I see, its ok because I don't want any of the free games and some of them are not free either, just discounted.

The majority of titles host the games on on users console and the connection is nearly always very bad indeed, its not a good service at all.
