Free games, in game purchases

My son downloaded a free game and made an in game purchase .... now the game isn't free and he's lost his money ... is this right?

he just needs the base game, he bought dlc which is added content, either the main game has left gamepass or your sub has expired, he still owns the dlc but not the base game.

Hi, the game was playable via Gamepass, but is no longer in the subscription. It must be purchased normally in the store.

I just checked and it appears this game is no longer offered through Game Pass. Games are periodically added and removed from Game Pass. So unfortunately, they aren't yours to play forever. It's similar to how shows and movies are added and removed from
Netflix. Since the game is no longer available on Game Pass, the game will have to be purchased to play any DLC. That's just the nature of it. Sorry you've had trouble!

I don't think you should neeed to buy a free game after a purchase in game.

Maybe it was a free weekend trials?

Hi Exstate, thank you for responding ... The game was just cause 3, he downloaded it on the free monthly game pass, he then bought an expansion pack in the game for £15. He said it told him he'd shared it to home so he unistalled it and tried to reinstall
and it said he then had to pay for the game ... he's quite upset!

Is there anything he can do?
