Free games can't find other Online Players

A few days ago, I got Kartrider Drift on my Xbox Series X, having looked forward to trying it out for a few years (even if took longer to come out on Xbox systems compared to other devices). Unfortunately, though I can technically play the game itself, I've run into the same exact issue I found in another game last year: When I try to play with other Players, the game can't find any and it stays stuck on the screen where it's searching for Players.

No matter how many minutes I wait, nothing happens. It worked once where I could find other Players for just one Race, but after that, absolutely nothing. The same exact issue happened to me with Asphalt 9 Legends. The game doesn't search for other Players when I try to play online, even though it only worked just once.

After the same issue happened with a 2nd game, I began to figure that it wasn't the games themselves, but maybe my console. Everything else that needs an internet connection works: browsing the Store, other games where I can get Decals & Liveries made by other Players (Ride 4, for example), I don't even have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Gold to play all games Online with other Players. I just want to play Online with others on the free games which I've been told don't demand a subscription.

The issue I'm having is very bad considering that game progress is linked to playing with other Players. If other Players can't be found, I can't upgrade Cars in Asphalt 9 Legends or advance in the Grand Prix in Kartrider Drift, meaning effectively being forced to miss out. What am I supposed to do to fix this?

What I can recommend is to try inviting a friend you know who lives nearby to have them try playing the game to see if multiplayer works.

If you are able to play the game in multiplayer mode and can see each other availability, then probably some players are no longer playing the free games.

For Asphalt 9 legends, you can play it with other online players if you are in the same club. You may try joining a club or create a club and see if you're able to play it with other online players. Moreover, if you're unable to join a multiplayer game, you may be encountering an issue related to Network Address Translation (NAT).

I've already opened up my NAT like it said in the guide you posted me, but it hasn't changed anything. Still stuck waiting for minutes with no luck. I'm unsure what else to do. I don't exactly have full control over the Router & its Firmware as someone else in the house does technical stuff regarding both.

I don't think players no longer playing the free games is an issue, considering that Kartrider Drift came out on the Xbox One just a few weeks back. Still, I can try and get help from someone else and see if it can be sorted out.
