Free gamertag change included with XBL Gold upgrade not showing up.

Hi, I posted this earlier, but for some reason I can't find the topic anywhere and I'm not certain it posted. If you find the original, disregard this.

Here's the situation, when I purchased my xbox 360, I set my (at the time) offline accounts name to matthewpc95. A few months later, I decided to upgrade to XBL Gold. As a part of the upgrade, it said that I would get one free change for my gamertag due
to me starting with an offline one.

So earlier today I went onto my account to change my gamertag, but it required me to pay for it. I asked my Mom (Who had set up an account at the same time I had during set up) to try her account and she was given the option to change for free.

After this, I went on the Live Support here and talked with Jackie (Who was incredibly helpful by the way), and she went over all my information with me and concluded that I indeed never changed my account name from the original offline, but the system
said no I had no free change. She said not to worry about this though, and said that the team here would be able to fix my problem for me!

next month's free games?

Compared to the games they got with PS+ this month, this is embarrassing. I'm not trolling- I've been an XBL subscriber since the beta over 10 years ago. But Sony is really showing up XBL Gold with its free offerings...

 

xBox PAL or NTSC?

As suspected I cannot sign in with my local acc because XBL is not yet supported in this country. So I created UK acc and tried one month free Gold which works the way it is supposed to but yeah some contents are not available but playing online with PAL
games works. So unfortunetely I have to stick with that for know. Plus, can you tell me If I could upgrade to XBL Gold during my XBL Gold one month trial? Because I heard I can't upgrade XBL Gold until the previous gold subscription is expired.

 

Free name changes are ONLY for those who created the account on the console and had a random generated tag and you only have 30 days to do the free change. yours is not a auto generated tag (it would have a word with a series of numbers) you will have to
pay to change your tag. and FYI do not post reference numbers in the forums those are ONLY for support when you call them back.
