Free gamer tag change

In 2016 I had a minecraft mobile account (the only thing related to microsoft at the time) and I stopped playing for a bit. On christmas I received an Xbox one S and when I logged into my account, my name was already changed and I could not use the free
name change anymore. My name is now and it has been like that since december, I don’t like the name and I want to change it but I don’t want to pay $10 for it again. Now there were a couple people that had access to my account and when I asked
them if they had changed the name they responded by saying “I don’t know”. I am really desperate for a a username change becaudw i am tired of the one have now, I have even been participating in the microsoft rewards program. - Thanks!

Help with changing gamer tag

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

One of them must of changed the name. You only get 1 free gamertag change and that is if the name was automatically assigned.

Support are fairly strict on not giving out new gamertags for free.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

You no longer get a "free" gamer tag change after a forced change. People had others reporting their gamer tag intentionally to get it changed then use the free change. In other word the one free change was being abused so it was removed.

You will not be able to change that gamer tag for free. It is a custom tag not a system generated tag. Did the agent that said you could change it for free send you here?

The only way to claim a gamer tag in use by someone else is if said individual changes their gamer tag, that will then free up that previous tag for use.

Why did my gamer-tag change? It really didn't offend nobody ( BIgBOyLuvMiLPhz )it was a funny gamer-tag to make people laugh and this was my first time actually getting reported. My friends gamer-tag were funny but when they got reported they had to change
there gamer-tag to something else or they couldn't play live at all and you gave them a (FREE GAMER-TAG CHANGE), how come I cant get that opportunity to change my gamer-tag?
