Free Game Download Issues

This month, borderlands 2 is free for gold members (awesome). My friends are playing it, so we can co-op. However, I cannot download it. After selecting "See price" and then "continue" It says

SORRY

Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your xbox

A friend of mine says his friend has the same problem, the inability to download xbox 360 games. This may be a glitch, if so pls fix, if not pls help. Your work is appreciated.

Issues with may Xbox quest

I’m having issues with the download two free games with gold even though I already downloaded two games(Vanquished, and Super Mega Baseball 2) if anyone knows how to fix the issues the help would be appreciated.

 

Freezing at Connecting to EA Online

Got this game today and was having same issues.

I had already downloaded all the free dlc before starting ,so i went into my downloads and deleted all the free multiplayer packs,and it fixed the problem.

 

I've experienced similar issues in the past. From what I have basically figured out, there seems to be problems if you have an trial subscriptions or sometimes one-month subscription vouchers on your XBL Gold subscription service, this too gets meddled if
for some reason say you use a trial voucher say right after buying an Xbox, buy additional XBL subscription time before the trial is used up, when you do you then eat up the latest paid subscription time but the trial time lingers in your available XBL Gold
subscription and starts to tick away again when your paid subscription is used up, if your eligible XBL Gold time ever falls back into the trial deduction then you don't get the rights to download the free games. You might want to talk to an Xbox support by
phone, see if they can see any trial time or trial vouchers on your current XBL Gold that are currently in use, see if that could be interfering with your download abilities, see if they can remove the trial period, and see about getting a new XBL Gold subscription
re-instated, or see if they can compensate you a one-month membership to see if that helps kick into gear the ability to download. Hope this helps. Try the phone support if you can, they're usually very nice, but lay out to them what I told you as that's most
likely the case there's some kind of interference caused by the subscriptions. Don't settle on them telling you to unplug your console, wait 30 seconds, delete and reinstall your account, blah blah reading from a trouble shooting list. What I laid out to you
is most likely the case. If they refuse to work with you on the approach I laid out, escalate it to a supervisor.
