    hi all, my son is new to xbox 3and has been told he can download a free game at present called DUST ?? if he is a gold member, but when he clicked on the free download it said it was $19 something, arrrr please help

    cannot download CastleStorm free

    i added one year gold subscription to my acount, however i cannot download CastleStorm free --- as we known, CastleStorm is free game for gold members this moth. help please.

    Question about Free Gold Weekend.

    free gold weekends just let you play online for free you still need to have gold to download stuff that requires a gold membership like the free games for gold members.

    The account you're using now won't be able to download the game (it's Silver), so assuming he is using another it needs to be a 'full' Gold membership and not a Trial membership (48-hour or 14-day codes).

    Were you a Gold member when you originaly got the game??? The Optional Update unlocked a new character (and more) but, still needs a GOLD MEMBERSHIP to download even though it's free to play. IT's Free to Play by Gold Members. Purchase a Gold Membership
    is about the only help I can provide. Now is a good time You get 2 free games a month!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

    Do you need to be a gold member for a certain amount of time to redeem free games?

    I found this, I think it answers your question: Is this only for new members?

    Games with Gold is available to all Xbox Live Gold members. To download free games you just need to be an Xbox Live Gold member at the time of redemption of any Games with Gold offering.
