I do believe expired messages with unused game codes get resent after about 30 days or so

Just wondering. Are you sure that you where able to pre-order the game? You see, the game was released 11/10/2015. By then, the pre-order purchase had already been removed. Another thing to take note. All xbox messages have a 30 day validity period. The
system automatically deletes them to avoid having the inbox full and they don't resend them.

Only the official supports on this promotions page can recover the delete codes on those messages. So you're actually on the right path. Though I'm not sure if you did received a code by then as the dates contradicts. But no worries, they could check that
for you.
