  • I did not get my code until November 3rd

  • I get error code 0x80153016 when I try to redeem my Fallout 3.
    

I pre-ordered Fallout 4 back in July directly, through the game store on my Xbox One. Part of the deal I purchased was I was supposed to get a copy of Fallout 3 for Xbox 360. Fallout 4 downloaded just fine and was playable on day one. Fallout 3 was supposed
to come via redeemable code in the message center. I received a code, however it is not redeemable. I have been consistently receiving a region error every time I try to download the game. Here's the situation: I moved to Germany from the United States so
my consoles are physically located in Germany, connected to the internet by a German IP and this is where i made the purchase. As I said, Fallout 4 worked fine but I got a region error when try to download Fallout 3. After several phone calls (beginning November
22nd) and about 5 hours of xbox tech support we've confirmed the download code
IS for Germany, so my consoles (Xbox One and Xbox 360) have all been changed to german region, as well as my xbox live account, microsoft account, and my billing info. It's super inconvenient because a lot of info now displays in German despite my language
preferences being English on everything, and the game still won't download. The last tech support I talked to said to post the issue here on the forums and you guys will take a look at my account and send me a new game code that will work
for my region. I'll be waiting.

Are you by chance using a VPN to connect to the internet? VPNs can cause issues such as the one you're having. If you haven't tried already, you can also redeem the code here on Xbox.com. Unfortunately billing issues like this are best suited for Phone support,
as we aren't able to look into account related issues that may be causing your error message.

 

I am not using a VPN. One of the phone support reps suggested I try it but I don't feel I should have to do that. I feel like I should get a code that works just as easily as the fallout 4 code worked. Also, I HAVE tried to redeem the code on Xbox.com to
no avail. I tried again just a few minutes ago. Phone support seems to think this forum is the answer. Anyone there who can provide a resolution?
