Free Digital Destiny upgrade

skismatik · Sep 12, 2014

As a follow up to my earlier question...

IceStorm III is correct. Both games are full licenses without any special restrictions. Members of the family can move between the xb360 and the xb1. Our Destiny character progress and stats follow our individual live accounts between consoles seamlessly.
Always a race to get to the xb1 first. Pretty sweet deal for a multi-gamer household.

Question. I'm going to be trading in my Xbox 360 for an Xbox One, but the 360 has destiny installed digitally on it. Once I get the One, will I be able to get the same destiny account on it as I had for the 360 before?

Hello everyone

I think that the offer for a free digital upgrade to the Xbox One from the Xbox 360 expired on January 2015.

Also, I don't see why a player won't continue from their Xbox 360 progress since the game is on-line anyways. I could be wrong so please don't quote me on this.

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone

Yep the offer ship sailed on Jan 1st.

Sorry but the Far Cry content cannot be upgraded to the Xbox One. If it's meant for the 360 then that is what it must be used for.

However, if you have a digital copy of Destiny that was originally purchased on the 360 then you can upgrade to the Xbox One for free. The same goes for the DLC (releases tomorrow). If you purchase it on the 360 you get a free upgrade to the Xbox One version.

The free upgrade for Destiny is only available until January 15.

No. You can still play the game on the 360 and x1 as the licences are both tied to your account.
