Free digital copy of Destiny for next gen consoles

Eh idk, I gotta disagree. If people had known about the incentive earlier more people woulda set aside the disc. Who can pass up a buy one get one free deal? I'm not the only person that has raised the question, it's all over the place.

I hope that the industry doesn't have to stoop to crap tactics like that just for sales. There's enough of a community revolving gaming that the market will go forever...

I totally see what you're saying. Proof of purchase should be good enough that it's your copy, ya? Receipts are wonderful for such occasions.

And I think we can agree that preorder perks are available to everyone, not just certain people, and definitely not on the same scale as a free game (which wasn't announced til after launch, thus not including the physical preorder group).

why do people always want to complain these days? Digital can't be resold so it makes sense to get as many people to buy digital as possible. Get over it!

I would hardly quantify this as "crap tactics". You seem to be blowing this a tad out of proportion. It's a deal specific to certain customers, that's it. It's not specific to the game industry and it's hardly a new practice
