I dont see destiny being listed at all on the free weekend page

You actually need gold for that game and it doesn't work on trials

Fyi trial codes don't change your status to gold you need actual gold for full benefits

Trial codes only allow temporary non ranked access to multiplayer games

and does not give you gold

Try the games you bought it with

it only works on a limited number of games and only in certain modes

Trials do not come with destiny

The only way you may redeem the free month trial is when you create a new account on the 360 console.

This is limited to the first three accounts created that opted in for the free one month trial.

basically you can get the backward-compatible games for free only if you are on a monthly trial, the shorter ones will allow you to download for free only the games for the ONE.
