    I was gifted $5 after the closing of the FIFA 19 BETA. I was informed via xbox messages from the messages received from Xbox Live. I was just wondering, am I the only one that received this, and if not, how many people did?

    P.S. this was not a scam as it was from Xbox Live, and the code did work.

    Yup - Microsoft was giving away 5$ randomly a little while ago.
    This article     mentions it. I don't know anyone who got one, but I'm in Canada - so it may be US-specific.

    Congratulations on receiving the free $5 credit. It's definitely nice to receive these sorts of bonuses from time to time. Perfect time to receive it as well. You can get a bunch of good games at a discount for the current sales in effect.

    Those codes are sent out at random so not everyone gets one. There's no way to know why one person got one and another didn't.
