    Greetings UK W0lfy,

    I hope you are doing well today. I noticed in you said you received a message on the Xbox app, by chance when you got the message did you also get an alert through the Xbox app on your phone and do you also have the Xbox app installed on your phone? Usually
    when I get messages, alerts or deals going on, I also get alerts sent directly to my phone. If it does not appear on your console, I wanted to see if you by chance if you received there on the phone as well.

    If not you might want to submit a report/inquiry on the subject and see if a Microsoft Agent/ Moderator can get to the bottom of it. I hope this helps.

    If you go to your xbox and go to the communication/messaging tab, then there is a category for messages from xbox live. Id check there.
