Free 1 Month Trial

Hi Everyone,

I have been gaming on my Xbox and always wanted to play Live.

After many attempts at using the 1 month free trail I need some help.

I have from South Africa, is the 1 Month free trail only for America?

I have tried different credit cards using incorrect addresses, any help suggestions are welcome.

The older style consoles come with three trials. The new slims only come with one. If its not popping up, its already been used. It is possible someone got the console and returned it, even if you think you got it new.

All consoles come with the free month trial for up to 3 gamertags. It is not an American only thing. Your payment method would have to match your location though. If you're using addresses that don't match your payment method then it wouldn't work.

I would like to use my correct address however, only states from America are listed or have I missed something silly... ?

It sounds like you're setting your account up to be a US account instead of your actual location. That would be the issue.

They updated the website as xbox noticed that people were setting up new accounts and setting them as there home xbox for free 1 month free trial

Just buy a 1 month trial as they are only 6.99euro for 1 month

This is hugely concerning to me. You should be able to cancel having to use the stupid joystick to enter all the info and go to a pc and not be penalized what is effectively $10. It's definitely making me reconsider signing up for the family gold pack. Sales
and marketing is always the best foot forward. Support and service only go downhill from there.

The free trial is usually only available while you're creating an account on the console (so if the account was already existing you wouldn't get the option) or if there is a special offer on the dashboard.
