    Free 1 month gold subscription but no online play


    I have a free gold subscription for one month so I activated it to find out I can't play FIFA or battlefield and cod so has anyone got any advice that could help. I've been trying to buy a full subscription but it will not let me for what ever reason. also
    it was the try gold on us section when I went to buy not a card with game. Am I stuck with this until it runs out? Cos I have two days of work coming up and want to play battlefield 1

    Also my account is not banned or suspended.

    Problem with Xbox Live

    I had subscribed on 1 month gold for free, i can navigate online, but when i try to play online It tells me to choose a subscription type (1 month, 3 month and 12 month). I try hard reset a couple of time without success.

    You need to have an Xbox Live Gold Subscription to use any Xbox game online. This includes playing the game online or doing anything that requires access to the server. You can pick a 1 month card for $10 at your nearest store or a 1 year card for $60 (50%
    off compared to 12 1 month cards).

    Sometimes they have Xbox Live Gold weekends which allow anyone without a subscription to play online for free and some games come with a trial Gold subscription

    If you already have Xbox Live Gold, then it is possible that the servers for the game are temporarily down and you would need to check EA;s forums to find out..

    The 12+1 subscription is basically the same as having a 13 month gold subscription. When it runs out you become a free/silver member unless you add another gold subscription. Free members don't have access to online multiplayer and other aspects of Live.

    As Smwutches has said you need either a 1 month, 3 months or 1 year gold subscription to play multiplayer games online. So without this you will be unable to play online.
