    Fraudulent xbox charges on my credit card.


    Over the past year, I've had several xbox charges to my credit card (games and such). I have the invoices from AMEX, which lists the user name (not mine) and what they purchased. I've spoken to AMEX and Microsoft to no avail. AMEX says they are valid charges
    from Microsoft (even though the billing address is an old address and the email is not valid either).

    I have the xbox ID for the machine making the purchases. I have the username. Since neither belong to me, I can't make changes to the account. The purchases are not listed under My Orders.. obviously since I didn't make them.

    How do I prevent future charges? I've had AMEX issue me a new card, but then when a new purchase was made, one of the two companies translated the old number into the new number (both companies deny doing this, but the same thing happens with Amazon and
    other companies).

    I've removed all credit cards from my account, but since the account making the purchase isn't mine, I doubt this will fix the issue.

    XBox keeps submitting unauthorized charges on my credit card. How can I get this to stop? I've never had an Xbox account and do not use it.

    I agree. That was my issue --- fraudulent charges on the credit card. I contacted the credit card company, and they addressed the problem. Unauthorized charges and a compromised card number may be what happened in your situation, too.

    For the first replacement card, I had just received it, hadn't activated it, looked up my credit card account oonline and saw that new XBox charges were made on the yet unactivated card!

    The XBox charges have been the only fraudulent charges. No other vendor.

    charges? Is it also a coincidence the both cards had large Microsoft online transactions? How about when I call support about my account and they never confirm or deny that someone got my credit card info when I ask.them. Nothing is impossible, I think the
    hacking community has proven that over and over.

    Once you get to the point that money is owed, you have to call billing support. This happened to me when my credit card company flagged the charge as fraudulent. Credit card was good. Just had to call to grt card charged again.
