Fraud purchases on my XBox account

Three days ago I received an email that there was a purchase of a $200 gift card and two $700 laptops. I checked the order history and saw they were being shipped out of state to an address in St Louis. Realizing this was either a scam or tech error I immediately
called Microsost Service. The rep cancelled and refunded the gift card and said she would have to escalate the laptop purchases and that I should receive a call soon. 24 hours later i called back with my issue ticket number and was told I’d have to wait for
the call. Another 24 hours I called again and was told it would be re-escalated. I told the rep that they need to contact UPS to stop the shipment, but he said it would have to be reviewed first. I’ve been tracking the shipment and now on the third day UPS
shows its out for delivery and I still havent received a refund for my $1,500. It’s infuriating that Microsoft is doing nothing but giving me the runaround. They are acting at a snails pace and allowing a scam artist to win. Furthermore, the security system
should have flagged the purchases as potential fraud to begin with being that the shipment address was not mine and out of state. I would like to think The Microsoft would have better security software programmers. I need to know when someone at this company
is going to take this seriously and refund my money.

If Microsoft doesnt take care of it I’ll have to. First thing that should happen is a refund instead of this non-action. Maybe they need to hire people that get things done.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community forums.

The first thing you would need to do in this case would be to report it straight away to your bank. The bank will then dispute this charge and work with the company to get your money back.

This can take anything around five working days or more to dispute but your bank will be better equipped to tell you more about this and how it works.

If someone has gained access to your Microsoft Account and purchased something, you will want to change your password. You can learn more about how to keep your account secure here: How

Once you have changed your password, this will cause all your accounts to sign out where the session cookies will expire. Once this has happened, you will need to sign into your accounts again all devices.

Sounds like you need to take it up with your bank. They are the ones that let fraudulent charges be made to your account, not Microsoft. As far as Microsoft saw it, they were legit since there was nothing to indicate otherwise until you called.

So, if Microsoft doesn't refund all your money then take it up with your bank to get the charges reversed. I don't see anywhere in your initial post that you contacted your bank. You should right away.

Fraud doesn't always refer to purchases.. and since your account was banned I imagine there is more to this than some purchase disagreement.

I have not done anything and I was banned the day after my account was hacked
