    Fraud on MS's side (100% verified), but still no help from support.


    Last night, I signed into my rewards and claimed several rewards. The first was a $10 xbox giftcard, and the next were several chances for the xbox one s "lottery" drawing. I received emails immediately for the lottery claims, but even at this time (8am
    central), I'm still waiting on my giftcard email. I encouraged the support person (Joyce) look at my purchases for the last month (where rewards points would be accrued from) and do the math herself as the proof of the "missing" points in my account if I indeed
    hadn't had them removed. In fact, I asked her to look at my purchase history dating back to the release of the xbox 360 which would bring up several hundred digital game purchases alone.

    Two separate examples of a form of account fraud on MS's end in 3 months. I've provided proof on for both "purchases" in question and MS support refuses to accept it. This is not how customer support is suppose to be handled. You don't tell someone directly
    providing proof that 100% backs and verifies their issue that it's not a problem on your end.

    After contacting general xbox support (with NO help what so ever), I was funneled off to a forum for support. Really? A forum?

    Apparently, there's no record of the giftcard transaction in my purchase history and this wouldn't be the first time MS has screwed me over.

    Back in September a purchase showed up in my bank account for $32.91. Turns out this was a "ghost" transaction on MS end and even though my bank provided PROOF, MS refused to look into the date in question and removed my digital rights to Destiny: Rise of
    Iron (while refunding that money for that purchase). That still didn't resolve the fact that the company withdrew the money still in question.

    Months later and still nothing being done regarding this. I'm going to give MS one more week to fix this or I'm done. After 15 years on Xbox Live and thousands upon thousands invested into their brand, I will leave over these issues if they are not resolved.
    Their response so far speaks volumes on how much they care about their consumers. It's a form of theft and removing my access to a purchase not even being challenged and without notifying me is illegal.

    Unable to purchase Microsoft points - clueless as to why.

    Could be a couple of things causing this, both on your banks side or on Xbox's side. But if you've contacted support then hopefully they'll resolve it soon!

    It could of been a fraud block from either the bank or Xbox.

    Original Xbox Battle Front II Market Place Dowloaded Game File: Xbox 360 failed to download

    Bought this game from Microsofts marketplace a few days ago on my Xbox 360. I have communicated to at least 5 support staff. They have had me factory reset the device. Delete OS update reinstall OS update. Delete and reinstall Xbox live account. Clear system
    cache. Try downloading on USB. Verified other market place games could be downloaded and played. Verified authentic Microsoft HDD, verified original Xbox disk was playable on console. Verified original Xbox game was downloadable onto HDD. Verified from support
    files the game is Xbox 360 compatible. Verified xboxlive regional compatibility. Verified regular 360 game disks can be downloaded to HDD and played.

    Every time I attempt to download this game it jumps from 80% to 100% then says cannot be downloaded leaving an Unknown game file with a corrupted file inside. Any help beyond what I have already done would be greatly appreciated.

    Phone and chat support don't handle the Rewards programs. That's why they can't see your $10 gift card redemption. You need to contact support for Microsoft Rewards (not regular Xbox support) for help with those codes although keep in mind it does state
    that it can take up to 24 hours to receive the codes. They can only be contacted via email which you can find on the redemption page of the Rewards program.

    What exactly happened to my account?

    Some of you guys posting here still have full GS according to your GC on the side. I'm now wondering if one of the servers MS keeps everything stored on got fried and now it's taking a while for the data to be reloaded from a back up.

    Anyway same advice, call MS support and log it. the people who post here are not MS staff or tech support for XBL. So you will only get theories and questions, not any actual help.

    List of people with this error: "Your payment instrument could not be authorized. Please contact your provider, or try a different payment option."

    Btw you should always check the Xbox server status as they will mention issues with billing if it's occurring server wide

    Btw op since its occurring with different payment options question are the Creditcards on PayPal or direct ms billing ? If direct billing and PayPal isn't working then it is a fraudulent lock on ms's side you will need to talk to billing support to get it removed
    If they are all going thru PayPal then talk to PayPal and see if there is a billing or fraud lock

    Yes, they've been approved. I generally only use one to renew my yearly subscription, though. The other is for MS Points, but neither are being verified anymore.

    I buy 15 dollars worth every now and then, but not often enough to trigger the fraud lock that you're talking about, and I've waited far longer than 24 and it is still giving me the same message. :/
