    I kept getting charges on my credit card but now cancelled. My credit card number was obviously stolen and I called my bank. They credited my card back but then a month later they charged me again back to my card.

    The credit card company provided me with paperwork from Microsoft showing my address but someone else's IP address in Detroit MI and an email that is not mine. Why is this my responsibility to pay these charges?

    I am assuming at this point I have to file a police report to open an investigation. If they can trace the IP address and the email to this person they should be charging this person.

    If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

    Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

    Click Contact us

    Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.

    On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.

    On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.

    since nov 27th i have been hacked and had unauthorized purchases up to $1000 or more i need a phone number to contact support

    My recommendation would be to speak to your credit card company and report the fraud to them. They can prevent further purchases from going through as well as have the charges credited back to you. They have procedures in place for this happening. They
    will probably have new cards issued to you to prevent further charges.

    I faced the same problem when buying MS Points with credit cards.

    Worst still, I was notified by my credit card issuing bank that multiple $2 charges are made to my credit card, for each failed attempt I suppose, and they suspected fraud. Now I've to temporarily suspend the card awaiting Microsoft's confirmation regarding
    the multiple $2 charges.

    In the end I use Paypal and bought the points sucessfully.

    You're making my point for me.

    An unauthorized purchase does not qualify for a refund.

    Just because the option is there doesn't change the issue. An UA purchase is fraud and no one refunds for fraud. That's why you contact your credit card company and have them dispute the charge.
