Franchise Mode: Draft Day

I am a rabid Franchise Mode player. I really enjoy the operations of the teams. I have run into a few problems, though, and would like to hear others' input and suggestions.

1) Scouting Agencies

Is there a real difference, other than the number of scouting selections? I have tried all 4 choices and do not see any real difference in the depth or accuracy of the scouting reports. Anyone have other experiences?

2) Position Picks.

I can usually find good players at all positions except for defensive backs and wide receivers. These players I just can not seem to get a feel for. Receivers I usually look for their catching ability, with speed and agility next (if known). Defensive
Backs, I am having trouble finding the "key ability" on which to make a basis. The ones I think will be good end up having a rating of 50 to 60. What are your thoughts on this?

General Draft Things:

I have started to "check" on the drafted players by going through the whole NFL after each draft and seeing how each rookie is rated. I try very hard to NOT reload my "pre-draft" save and re-pick

What I find myself doing for the draft is trading my number pick for a number 2 and other such trades so that I end up with 10 (maximum) picks each year. I have finally gotten rid of my sentimentalism and find that releasing over priced veterans and finding
cheaper draft day gems is my favorite way to run my teams.
