  1. Frames per second for apps is stuck at 30hz

So I have a 175hz monitor for my series x in my room and I have the refresh rate in settings at 120hz. Yet no apps I have display 60hz content like youtube has specific videos that that show difference between 30 and 60hz and that's when it turns on for youtube but just for that video but for apps like netflix, only 30hz content. My xbox one s in my living room has a 60hz tv and yet it displays it all at 60hz except for most games obviously but it does for the apps. The monitor for my series x can display 120hz for games but only 30 hz for apps, is this just me and I messed up somehow or a bug or just normal. Because it makes me somewhat jealous that my entire family watching a movie downstairs in 60hz while I am watching in 30hz. And I can't watch on the one s because it's more of a family console, do everyone using it, my series x I got for me only. If you could help in anyway with the problem on my series x it would be very much appreciated.

Does MGSV run at 60fps on the Xbox 360?

The Xbox 360 is capped out at around 30Hz (Fps/frames per second) if not in some instances lower. Many Xbox One titles and playable/updated Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles are capped anywhere from 30Hz to 60Hz... with games often landing in places in
between like the common-ish 45Hz. The Xbox 360 can't be "fixed" to make the frame rate better but the Xbox One and even more so the Xbox One X just run naturally higher because they're newer... and the 360 is honestly and old piece of tech at this point.

The One could actually run at an excess of 120Hz. Here's an article.

    Frames per second issue

    Hello, localuser

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Thank you for your feedback. I read the information you provided. You mentioned that your frame rate dropped when playing Roblox after resetting your computer.

There are many reasons for the problem, including drivers, system settings, and cooling.

So I suggest you try the following methods, which may help you with your current problem.

    1. Graphics card driver problems may cause the current problem. Please visit the official website of the graphics card manufacturer to download and install the latest driver.

    2. Incorrect power settings may also cause a drop in frame rate. Please follow the steps below to check.

Open the "Control Panel" and select "Power Options".

Make sure to select the "High Performance" power plan, not "Energy Saving" or "Balanced".

Under the high performance plan, check the advanced power settings and make sure the maximum performance state of the CPU and GPU is set to 100%.

    3. Please check whether the graphics settings in the game are the same as before. If special effects or resolution are increased, it may also cause a drop in frame rate.

    4. If you have PC Manager installed on your computer, please make sure it is set to performance mode, which will increase the CPU frequency and improve the frame rate of the game.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards

Does anyone else have this problem with 30 fps games ...

Well i know, its not 30 hz (it still shows 1080@60p when playing any game) and i meant it by 30 fps in a 60 hz window is going to be smoother than 30 fps in a 30hz window since its 30hz is not native refresh rate of the screen.

    -

However, even with 30fps in 60hz (and then multiplied by the plasma rate 10 pulses per frame) you're getting uneven-ness and there will be judder caused by the TV of course. This is what I mean by synchronization because its not that the Xbox 360 communicates
with the TV on how to send its frames to the TV, but how the Xbox 360 is sending its frames in a fixed interval, that is making the TV judder.

I'm thinking of buying this TV for the Xbox One launch... thoughts??

Ok... so the maximum frame rate of the game is 60 frames per second. That's 60Hz. With 120Hz the display will render you the same frame twice per second. How does it make the picture any better? Response time of the display would be a more critical number
    to look at.

Try 29.97/30hz. Some cheap TVs are stuck at 60hz no matter ehat they claim
