Frame rate drops on Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

I have a near identical setup and issue:

5700XT

3600X

16GB 3600 ram

Game was running buttery smooth, then from around the beach section it began to drop significantly, and by the following section with the beast it was almost unplayable (20-30fps).

I wasn't looking at what usage was like in the beginning sections, but currently GPU is bouncing around between 10-50% usage, and even with a bunch of chrome tabs open not a single CPU core peaks 80%.

Reducing ALL settings to low doesn't help. Opening the menu brings the framerate up to 144 and gpu sitting happily at 95%+ GPU usage.

I've just tested this game. What resolution are you running your desktop in?

There seems to be an issue with the game changing its own internal resolution. My Desktop runs in 4K or 3840x2160. When I try to set the screen resolution in the game to anything, be that 2560x1440 or 1920x1080, the game just ignores it and goes back to
4K and hence only runs at 30 fps, and I've got an i7 8700, RTX 2080 and 16GB RAM.

However I've found a temporary fix for this game that seems to work for me to play at 60 fps in Fullscreen.

1. Run the game as normal.
2. In the graphics menu change to Windowed mode.
3. Right click on your desktop and select 'Display Settings'
4. In Windows Display settings, change the screen resolution to the desired resolution you want to use in the game.
5. Go back to the game and change the screen resolution here too.
6. Change back to full screen in the graphics settings menu,

You may have to change some of the other graphics settings to reach a locked 60 fps, but it worked for me.

I actually changed the desktop resolution from 3840x2160 to 1920 x 1280, now the game stops reverting to 4k every time and I am running at 60 fps on very high settings. Thanks again!
