FPS gamers, what is the average life span of your analog sticks?

My analog sticks survive for about 8 to 15 months, how long does yours hold out for?

New controller will last 7-10 years

I think that is too long of a life span. I go through a controller every two years average. I ocassionaly drop it but nothing crazy, the rest is just wear and teare.

 

How many seasons has your team played?

Hello fellow team leaders. Just curious, how many seasons have you played with your team? (seasons usually consist of about 3 months of competition and a month of playoffs)

Also, how many matches on average does your team play per season?

I'll start. With my team Hit Squad X we played a total of 62 seasons with an average of 70 games played per season over the span of 9 years. With my newer team Corporate Corruption we have played 5 seasons with an average of 50 games played per season over
the span of about 15 months.

How about you? Tell us a little about your team and the amount of seasons you have played, over what span, and the amount of games played per season on average.

 

The FPS is a good test for controllers.

My 360 controllers would last for a several years before needing replacement.

My Xbox One controllers are a different story. Not made very well IMO as I have had to replace 2. The life span of each controller has been about 6-7 months.

My LS was drifting up on both.

 

Never needed replacements on 360 or One (yet)

X1 day one controller still going strong, almost no signs of wear, thumb sticks are still tight, 360 controllers i was replacing about once a year, sticks would get loose, or wear through the posts and then would snap.

X1 controllers feel cheap, but i find that they are lasting a lot longer than the 360 controllers.

 

I have delicate thumbs Lei Fang that's my secret. sssshhhhhhhh!

 

I had to replace my XBOX One controller after about a year because the left stick push to click (FPS running) just didn't feel right.

 

My analog sticks wore thin but never needed replacing. Though the. Controllers themselves do give out every year or 2. I got the blue Chrome 360 controller Jan.2013 and it's still doing good( I had to get it because my halo 4 controller had a stress crack).
I have grip it now because it makes the analog stick last longer.

 

I was probably getting a year or more out of each 360 controller. My biggest problem with them was the battery slot cracking. I have two One controllers(1 for console, 1 for PC) and both are doing just fine. Now back when I picked up a PS3 I was going
through a controller every couple months till I picked up a wired 360 controller and an adapter. That thing is just now showing signs of needing to be replaced and I was using it heavily for 3 or 4 years for CoD.

 

Hello everyone

I just replaced the Xbox One controller that came with my Kinectless Xbox One bundle yesterday so it lasted me 8 months.

The left analog stick wasn't very responsive to Destiny's click it down to run function and the right analog stick was drifting up (making it hard for me to snipe without having to compensate for the up drift).

never had to replace any controllers on 360 or on the one yet.. trick is that you dont need to 'smash' the sticks to actually move..

I don't abuse my stuff at all and I take care of them, I guess that I just got the controller that I got came from the " medoicre quality " pile

Besides, I still have another Xbox One in storage, so I am all set to go LOL
