I think I will pass to PS4, dates always the same answers to all the teasing I do not like, and I think you will not make a long way with the Microsoft console, thank you and goodbye.

Hey guys! The investigating teams would also like to know:

Is your Kinect Sensor plugged in?

For convenience I have also added this to Mister Beep's verified post. Post back and let me know so i can pass this along to the proper teams. Thanks!

When playing Black Ops 3 multiplayer, get a hitch or stutter every 7-10 seconds. Only happens when in a party. Xbox One S with or without Kinect Sensor plugged in. Started after August Update.

I had two error codes appear when I tried to access Cortana after the lag happens. I couldn't access it un the settings. Then the following two error codes appeared:

0x8027025a (this came up because Cortana took too long to open.

0x87b20c19 (I entered this at xbox.com/errorhelp and it is not even a rcognised error code, and yes I have entered it correctly.

I want to update my post from a few days ago. At the time a new update had come out and I was briefly encouraged by what seemed to be an improvement in performance. However, any perceived improvement turned out to be short lived; the little stutters and
    pauses are still there.

I waited several days, playing mainly SotFS for different periods of time, at different times of the day, and before/after using other apps on my Xbox One console. What I found was that it doesn't matter how long I play or what I was doing before playing.
It also doesn't matter what I'm doing in-game; I had thought that certain areas were worse than others, but it turns out that is not the case. At this point, I can not provide any consistent data pertaining to what actually causes these stutters and pauses.
Unfortunately, I am as at a loss as I was when I first posted here.

Since I was here last, I see the Xbox team is asking for more info. I will add to the info I already provided below (new info in
    red):

    Xbox One Elite

I do not have a Kinect Sensor

    Region: USA

Affected games: Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, Warframe

    Download speed: 95.87 Mbps

    Upload speed: 11.70 Mbps

    Packet loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

    Latency: 88 ms

I am not running a snapped app

I am not doing game chat

I am not using a premium headset

    I am not game streaming

I am not doing a download in the background

I am not playing background audio

Power-cycling the network for 5 minutes (or longer) made no difference. I followed the slow performance troubleshooting guide to the point of setting up a DMZ and stopped there. I feel that setting up a DMZ is a step that should never be necessary for casual
gaming, plus my problems started after an Xbox update, not after any changes were made to my network; I have absolutely no reason to believe my network is the problem so I will not go to that extreme, at least not at this point in time.

  6. You may even think about getting a USB 3.0 external hard drive. Load times are faster, and gameplay runs a bit smoother.

i think this issue is more serious than just a bit of lag caused by slow load times. either way the console should not have problems using the internal drive provided with the console. no reason for people to buy something extra to fix a problem that should
not be there to begin with.

I'd just like to say, this is indeed still an issue after having tested it this weekend. And no, I don't even own a Kinect sensor.

Yup as QuickMythril stated, we do not recommend purchasing extra hardware for this specific issue, but thanks for jumping in to offer help! FPS drop, jerky gameplay every few seconds.XBOX ONE :)

All we need is for everyone who's experiencing this issue to continue to post back with each piece of info in our verified post so we can pass it back to the teams investigating this. As some in thread thread have done, copy and past our list of info into
your post and plug in the specific info there.

Thank you to all who have posted this information already!

  10. I feel the need to also mention that whilst this may not be the cause (I doubt it is tbh), when using the on-screen keyboard and typing things out with a controller, it exacerbates the issue. So, if your testers are not using a controller and are instead
using usb keyboards (and not noticing the issue as a result), it'll probably be a good idea to test it without the keyboard.

Just thought you should know, because it is entirely possible imo.

  11. Yes, i noticed this too, and not only the on-screen keyboard. Opening the guide while you are in a game, and going to the dashboard and inmediately returning freezes the game like 3 seconds. The probability of lag grows the more times you open the guide
    while playing.

Maybe it has to do with the console recently added features, social stuff, achievement tracking, or a mix of those thing not well integrated with operating games.

I think that the problem is serious, the only solution would be to return to the old dashboard, and are convinced that they do not even know what they did and caused these lag, even shots in games offline, this is shameful, Give us back our console, we have
    5 games unplayable !!!!!

Are you using a One S or original One console: Xbox One S

Is your Kinect Sensor plugged in? No

    Region: United States

What games are affected: Overwatch, Payday 2, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

    Detailed Network Statistics:

Download speed: It varies but I seem to pull down anywhere from 60-90 Mbps

    Upload speed: 11.39

    Packet Loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

Latency: Again this also varies but 70-90 ms is the average for me.

Are you running a snapped app? If so, which ones? No

Doing game chat? Yes but I sometimes notice it even when I'm not.

Premium headset attached? I would just be using the standard xbox headset. I do have a PS Gold headset that I use as well and sometimes notice the issue as well.

    Are you game streaming? No

Are you also doing a download in the background? I generally don't play online games when downloading things in the background but do occasionally for single player games so this could be part of the problem but I'm not sure.

    Playing background audio? No.

  14. So is there still any word on what's being done about this? The stutter issue has been popping up in Gears of War 4 lately too and that's just me playing online by myself, not in a party or using headsets. I'd really like to have some kind of word on what's
    being done.

  15. Hello All,

I read through this thread and didn't see where there was a response from the mother ship, so I'll just add my information and see what happens. I do have some additional information to add regarding this issue, which I am experiencing severely. However,
my situation is slightly different in that I have 2 Xbox One consoles that are normally being used at the same time. Different accounts, same network, sometimes playing together on the same squad, in party chat, but one console has the problem, and one does
not. We are often also playing different games at the same time, with no issues. So my issue seems to be confined to one game as far as I can tell. I mean, the stuttering is so bad I would know if it was happening with other games. Both consoles are on
the same OS version, one has connect and an external HDD, the other not. Both have USB keyboards connected to the console, and both are using the standard controller and basic headset.

The information for the console that is having issues is:

Are you using a One S or original One console? Xbox One (Original Console)

Is your Kinect Sensor plugged in? Yes

    Region: United States

    What games are affected: Warframe

    Detailed Network Statistics:

    Download speed: 57.42 Mbps

    Upload speed: 59.80 Mbps

    Packet Loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

    Latency: 39 ms

Are you running a snapped app? No snapped apps

Doing game chat? Party chat, not game chat.

Premium headset attached? Standard Basic Xbox original headset (no 3.5mm jack)

    Are you game streaming? No

Are you also doing a download in the background? No

    Playing background audio? No

I use several different monitors so it has nothing to do with the TV that is just viewing what the console is sending to it. It would not cause this kind of stuttering. Even on a 4K monitor.

Hopefully this additional information is helpful. If additional information is required, please feel free to contact me directly.

    Thanks, TeknoSoCA
