    I’ve been having this issue for a while, it’s frustrating that my games are getting FPS boosts but only to 120fps and not 60fps.It makes it inaccessible for people with only 60hz screens,as many people do including me.Xbox should boost games to both 120fps and 60fps not just 120fps

    I think the above advisor got their information confused.

    There are no 120Hz only titles on Series X, either with new titles or via FPS boost.

    If a game has been given only 120Hz support with FPS boost then it means the game already supported 60Hz on release.

    What games are you referring to specifically?

    Far Cry 5 seems very laggy, glitchy on Xbox series x.

    Hi,

    Have you enabled FPS boost for this game? The default settings for Far Cry 5 runs the game at 30 fps (30 frames per second). This game has an 'FPS Boost' option that allows you to play this game at a much smoother 60fps.

    • On Xbox Series X, go to My Games and Apps
    • Select Far Cry 5 and choose Manage Games & Add Ons
    • Choose Compatibility Options, then select FPS Boost
    • Enable FPS Boost for Far Cry 5
    • Launch the game.

    Shadow of the Tomb Raider FPS Boost

    That is correct there is a 60fps mode but reduces the quality of the picture to more of a soft 1080p with reduced graphics settings so the one x could reach the 60fps.

    I'm more looking for a way to use the quality 4k mode that is locked at 30fps to try and boost that to 60fps. The new console can handle it as other bigger titles have had this feature added.

    I sent the creators of shadow of the tomb raider an enquiry to see if they will release a patch to uncap it, but they currently have no plans.

    Hence why I'm asking if it possible to put shadow of the tomb raider on the list to use the FPS Boost software to run the quality mode at 60fps and then the performance mode at 120fps.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately the FPS boost program ended with the BC program. There won't be any more FPS boost titles.

    Assassin's Creed Syndicate was also not given the boost treatment either. It wasn't such a straightforward procedure as you'd think. If it were, nearly all locked 30fps games would have been given the boost feature.

    Right now, the only way to play Black flag at 60fps or more is to play the PC version. With a suitable PC of course.
