Fozra Horizon 4 login issue

I own Forza Horizon 4 on Steam and am having a problem playing the game.

As soon as I go to "Start Game" in the game, a pop-up appears in which I have to log in with my Microsoft account. There is already an account listed with which I cannot log in, but for whatever reason and when I add another account I will get the message "You cannot continue without registering for your profile".

How can I fix this?
