Found a sure fire fix for the XBox Live Disconnects and Profile Download Issues

I'm going to go buy a PS4 this week because this is absolute BS. I have a 4GB XBox so it's one of the older ones--ones that others have found similar issues with.

Between work and family and school haven't really had time to play a game since December. Had some free time today and thought I'd see if the new Batman AO DLC was available.

First, it says I can't connect to XBox Live.

But then when I test the connection, everything is fine.

Then I'm logged into XBox Live...and it logs me out of my profile.

Deleted my profile out of the system so I can redownload it, and it either tells me that I can't or it hangs up 1/2 way through and I have to reboot the system.

And yes, I've spent the past three hours going through this forum and trying every canned answer the XBox whiz kids have suggested and none of them have worked, and that's because this is apparently an issue on their end, not yours or mine.

But instead of manning up and admitting that, they give canned answers and in one thread, even suggested to someone that they disconnect every other wireless device in their house. Really? So the ten other devices that are connected work flawlessly, but
the issue is with them and not the XBox or its servers, huh?

So although I was on the fence on buying a new system until at least fall--and was leaning towards sticking with Microsoft--but now I'll just to go to your competitor. I can understand if you're having a technical issue on your end that you're working to
resolve, but then be honest and upfront about it instead of making people jump through hoops on their end.

    :)

Error Code 80070525 and random disconnects from Live.

I've been having random disconnects from Xbox Live for over a month now. I read today that deleting your profile and re-downloading it can fix the issue.

I deleted just the profile today, not the items and saves. However, when I try to download my profile I now get error code 80070525 and statement Live Profiles can't be downloaded right now.

Literally right before I deleted my profile I was online and I had no issues connecting to Live.

    Backwards compatibility question

Hi, so I downloaded NBA Jam Fire Edition on my Xbox One. So I launched it and it said disconnected from Xbox Live using the 360 titles, then when I was in the game I tried to sign into my Xbox Live it showed the 360 login screen which I selected to sign in and said sorry this profile can't connect to the Xbox live on this console. Now I just wondering if you are able to sign in for the backwards compatible games or its just you as a continue without save thing. Sorry just was able to find an answers for this. Thanks for any help!

Those issues with the 4GB are usually hardware, not a network connection error. But I get what you mean. Also, about that person who said to "disconnect everything" was most definitely not a rep. of microsoft. In fact, the ratio of microsoft employees to
users on this forum is easily 1 to 5 . What error code does it give you when it says it can't? Since you have been offline for so long , they could have locked the account wanting you to update your security information . Have you tried calling support over
the phone? You probably have , but you didn't say. What was the result of that? Because from what you're saying it seems you've been taking advice solely from the forums. Im Not trying to be callous , Just trying to access the situation. I'm not an employee
either, just someone trying to help.

Hope to hear back from you soon.
