    found a bug....


    Ever since the last up date i have noticed that when i hit the Xbox button because of the sound update for surround that none of it makes sound until it moves back the main screen... not sure if this is isolated to my Scorpio or if it is across all consoles.
    all other sound works through headphones.

    Found an OS bug?

    Hey guys, this is a little long-winded but I'm pretty sure I've found a bug in the Xbox One OS.

    After the Nov update my console started having some issues, particularly crashing while powering off and it would force itself to turn off. I power cycled and that fixed the problem only then I noticed that it seemed to be 'crashing' while in Instant On
    mode and going into Energy Saving mode. I spoke to a guy at MS Support and he had me do a factory reset, redownloaded my games and apps and behold the issue returns. What I observed last night though is that my Xbox doesn't seem to 'crash' while Instant On
    anyway, it just seems to decide to put itself into Energy Saving. Incidentally, it did this exactly 1 hour after I turned it off and I have the 'Turn off after 1 hour inactivity' setting active. Disabled this last night, waited an hour and it's still Instant
    On in the morning. I haven't tried the 6 hour setting and I'm not going to either.

    Has anyone else had this or similar? Worth calling MS again and telling them?

    Hey Arachniteer,

    Thanks for the heads up. There's a way that you can report bugs on Windows 10.

    Here's how to do it:

    1. Press the Start button , choose Feedback Hub from the list of apps, or type feedback in the box and then select Feedback Hub.
    2. In Home, choose Report a problem
    3. Fill out the Summarize your feedback and Explain in more detail (optional) sections. The best way to do this is to answer these questions:
      • What is the problem or unexpected behavior?
      • What steps did you take to encounter the problem?
      • What additional software, hardware, or accessories were you using when you encountered the problem?
      • Were there any specific error codes or messages you saw when you encountered the problem or behavior? If so, what was the specific error code or message?
    4. Leave your feedback, and then follow the prompts. If you’re able to show us the problem, make sure to include any screenshots as well.
    5. When you’re done, press Submit.

    Found a bug with backwards compatability...

    Hi,

    This isn't a bug. Xbox 360 Games With Gold are yours to keep and will continue to work even after your Live subscription ends. Only Xbox One GWG tiles require a subscription to keep playing.

    So enjoy your completely free games!
