Forza4 Can't go fast, red bar in the way

While racing in career, I now noticed this red bar in my speed bar not only letting me go past 60mph, I checked through settings but I didn't know what it is Why is it doing this?

Just keep checking that orange bar for your weapon level. it'll go up way faster than normal. it helped me in maxing out my ballista. The last level to get iron sights is a pain.

Can't believe how we are being force fed the new wheels when I already have a Forza branded wheel sitting at home that I use to play f.... Forza4 . I have canceled my pre order xbone and forza5 le thanks alot Microsoft . Thank you sony for supporting my

That sounds weird.

Is there any chance you could provide a screenshot possibly? I'm not really sure what the red bar is.

My first though, however, was that the braking assist might be on, so go ahead and switch that one to 'ABS On' or 'Off' (ABS just stops the wheels from locking up under braking, but doesn't auto-brake anymore).

There might also be some other assists on which could be interfering - if there's anything relating to auto-acceleration or steering assist, turn them down from their fully-automatic state (no need to be be totally off).

It could also be things like the specific car you're using: if it's an F-class car, that might simply be its top speed.

 

Or it sounds like you have manual transmission on. Check your settings and turn it to auto or you'll need to manually switch gears.
