Forza racing and rewinding

Greetings to all reading this, and shouts out to my fellow Xbox Ambassadors.

Forza Motorsport, along with Forza Horizon have been with us for a long time now. Personally I prefer this style of racing over another station's brand of racing. For freestyle, and real-world exploration, I really love the Horizon series. When it comes
pure Sim racing simulation, esport regulated play, ultimate control and feel, Forza Motorsport 7 is where it's at.

Having said this, if you play these games, do you finish the race honorably when you mess up? Or are you a rewinder?

Personally, when I'm playing Forza Horizon 4 I do use the rewind button, because this game is for freestyle and pure enjoyment. Yes, I have absolutely been known to smash that rewind button in Motorsport 7 as well. Although, when I am in a career race
with legendary lockdown mods along with perfectionist mods, I will not push that button. I will finish the race in whatever position I get, then restart the event. At least by finishing you still gain XP.

I believe this is indicative of real life as well. We can't just rewind our life because of a minor bump or mishap, rather we must drive onto the end. Yes, even if this means last place, finish and finish strong!

Of course having lines & rewinds make it less of a sim.

The clue is in the word "sim".

It's meant to simulate what it's like to be a racing driver & racing real race spec cars around real race tracks.

You don't get racing lines & rewinds in real life when racing.

Forza is not a sim.

I have raced some of the cars in Forza & it's more of an arcade racer.

I use the rewind button for the stories in Forza. I do not use it in regular races though.

I love playing forza and rewind is helps in seasonal events.

Honestly as soon as I can get in to the settings I turn the rewind feature off, never been a fan of the rewind feature in racing games.

The rewind option is unique in comparison to all other racing games. I much perfer to have it active it allows for you to have as many chances to hit your corners perfectly and as time goes on you find yourself not needing it as often.
