forza not updating

Discus and support forza not updating in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; hi has anybody else had any problems with an update for forza 5 as when i put disk in first thing it does is says error with upgrade? can anyone help...     If you haven't already - try doing a power cycle on your Xbox. Here are the steps:

    support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

    Then, once the Xbox is back on - try inserting the Forza 5 disc again and hopefully the update will succeed.

    I had this same issue. Only way around it was to uninstall the game and reinstall.

    No. Game save data is saved to the cloud. Once you reinstall the game it should sync up the next time you play.

    I recently had to get a new Xbox One (original, Day One edition's Bluray player stopped reading discs). After I ran through the initial setup and logged in under my gamertag I downloaded all games and DLC I had purchased. Then, when I fired up FM5 on the
    new console for the first time - the game synced with my profile and I was right back where I left off on my original console (it did take a bit of time to sync - so be patient). Pretty slick!

    ...there are many people that are not having these issues on the Xbox One

    Don't blame the console. Sometimes technology doesn't work like we want it to - but blaming someone or something isn't doing anything to help get it fixed.

    Try a power cycle. Try an uninstall/reinstall. These steps have fixed most issues I've seen people posting about.

    Forza 4 not importing Forza 3 profile

    I deleted/uninstalled both Forza 3 and Forza 4 from the console. On restarting Forza 3 (this was on Thursday 13th October) I was asked to accepted the title update - if I didn't I couldn't play the game). I have backed up and then deleted my Forza 4 saved
    games and restarted from scratch - still no option to import from Forza 3.

    It appears that what ever the title update on thursday 13th patched it essentially made the Forza 3 saved game unreadable by either Forza 3 or Forza 4.

    I cannot continue the Season play in Forza 3 from where I last saved it as all the game progress appears to have gone. The achievements still show on my profile, but I cannot import into Forza 4 as it appears the title update delete all the data for Forza
