Forza Multiplayer check DNS settings

I have had this problem for a while now where I can not play online with friends and get an error message saying check dns settings. I'm assuming this is a teredo problem and have searched low and high for a fix and have tried literally almost everything
but have not been able to fix it. The xbox app also says that my server connectivity is blocked, NAT type open. If anyone knows any little known fixes I can try, it would be much appreciated.

DNS Error! Help me!

Hello!

So my problem is that i cant connect to the Multiplayer on Forza Horizon 3 PC! Its says DNS Error!

Its on german, but it says: Unable to join the session! Please check your DNS Settings!

Anyone can help me? Thank you!

Love being a beta tester for M$!

I'm not going to that extreme at this stage.

Friend's also have the issue with multiplayer failing the first time after being launched but they don't have their console set to instant-on to tell me whether they're also having the issue with Forza restarting each time they go into it.

I'm going to play with DNS settings (just found out my ISP's DNS server is down) and see if there's any changes.

Hi,

If the Xbox app's sever connectivity says blocked, this can be due to one of the following reasons:

A security software has altered the Windows Firewall configuration.

A required Windows Service has been disabled or stopped.

The Windows Firewall has been disabled.

Xbox app server connectivity on Windows 10 is blocked for the steps on how to resolve this issue.

Let us know if you still encounter the same issue after following the solutions on that page.

Thanks for checking, Tyrelli. Can you try setting up a wired connection?

Please also try changing your DNS. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings > manual

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

then check again.

I understand that you want to play Forza Horizon 5 with a friend however if keeps disconnecting you.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check your Internet Connection. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If you're using Wi-Fi, kindly give it a try in switching to a wired connection. Restart your router and modem to see if that helps.

And then update Forza Horizon 5. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version. Go to Profile & system > My games & apps > Full library > All owned games > Forza Horizon 5 > Manage game & add-ons > Updates.

Next is set a manual DNS, please go to settings> network> network settings> Advanced settings>DNS Settings> Manual.

PRIMARY DNS: 8.8.8.8

SECONDARY DNS: 8.8.4.4
