Forza Msport 6 disk install - how big first patch update online?

Looking forward to getting my FM6 in the week, but not sure how much of my monthly data will be consumed by the patch update you face at first start?

Sorry to hear about your problems! Both consoles are big downloaders with big patches and big installs, its just the way games have moved. The Forza update for me happened in my sleep and was ready to play when I got home from and I had no problems with
it at all. I did have the digital copy, was your copy originally digital or disk?

Have you tried doing the clean power cycle of your console? hold in power button for 8-10 seconds, power back on and launch forza to see if you can progress through patch/install/update or play the game?

Believe me, the grass isn't greener on the other side Big games, big downloads, big patches but at least the Forza patch ads drag racing, TAG racing mode and better payouts!

 

Am I able to install and play games offline on Xbox One?

Yes you can install and play offline. But it is recommended to install and update all games while connected as games like Forza had a massive data dump on the first install. 6.6 gig patch.

 

Mine totals 52.7 GB but that's with several car packs & the Porsche expansion dlc so i'd say around the 50-51 GB mark.

 

Thanks, but do you remember just about how much of patches which are normally bugfixes is part of that?

2-3G, or 5-10G or more?

Just about every games I installed have at first run a popupscreen "There is an update, do want to download that now?" or similar.

It's even been for my digital downloads that worked like that.

Day one update for disc owners was 2.2 GB

October 6: 623 MB

October 13: 99 MB

November 3: 514 MB

December 1: 914 MB

January 5: 400 MB

 

If I remember you have to download both expansions even though you don't own them so it will be about 50-51GB I would say.
