Forza Motorsport 6 Apex

Hey Microsoft, I have downloaded this wonderful game which was for free in Microsoft store. In 2021 it was no longer possible to find but the link still worked. I think later it was not possible to install, but I already had it in my PC and I even bought a frikin steering wheel for this game!

Recently I found out that the icon somehow lost the image and I can no longer start the game! It doesn't show any error anywhere (not even eventlog). Why did you do it Microsoft?

Let me see if I can help you out with this Forza 6 issue.

In an announcement on August 2nd 2019, the team at Turn10 announced that the game itself would be d-listed and no new purchases or support would be possible. Why this decision from the studio was made I can not tell you. I know from experience that the majority of cases like this usually revolved around the expiration of music or product licenses inside the game. Items like some of the car companies being featured or music tracks being available to play. A lot of times the game companies will go back to the car/music companies and try to extend out the contracts but it doesn't always work.

Now since you already own the game and have played it in the past, you can attempt to redownload it by accessing your library in the Microsoft store. However, be aware that support for the game itself is done so it's possible that the games code or features itself do not work with the updates that have come to windows or other features. This is not a choice that we have made, it is simply the fact that the game itself is receiving no more updates and can no longer keep up with what is needed to run it.

You can attempt to reach out the Forza community here and see if they might have a work around or solution for you as communities for games such as this tend to stay pretty active long after the game is supported.

really! When I went to Microsoft store and click Library down left I found some history and could install Forza from there and it works! Really didn't expect it!

You can always download via the xbox app from your history which is what you are supposed to do

As previously mentioned the game along with any forza motorsport titles are delisted

Only forza 8 if it comes out or horizon titles would be published
