For anyone that's done the update ..

I can race on the track in "Rivals Mode" but it doesn't appear in my Career Events when I either select "League Select" or "Continue Career" .. is it suppose to? lol

I got an update for this last night but it was 2.2GB for me. I'll have to check out to see what's going on. What's the deal? Is the track free for everyone or just those that purchased DLC?

Awesome! Thanks dude! I bet that update is still installing now on my connection :/ its a 10mb down but the X1 is a fair distance away from the router so it takes forever.

 

Loving driving on this new track and it looks stunning.

Slightly off topic, I know I've driven on this in other racing titles, anyone else know what game it featured in?

 

GRID. I particularly remember racing the Dallara F3 cars on there.

A friend says it was also in SHIFT. Not sure if the first or second.

Earlier today I raced on the full Long Beach track in the F1 car and there was a heck of a lot of noticeable slowdown when taking the first left corner on the first lap.

 

Not noticed any slowdown on the new track and I've driven on it a lot since it was released. Mind you, I have yet to take an F1 car around it.

The only track I get any frame rate/slowdown is on the long straight at Le Mans, I can guarantee at the same point each time it happens.

 

Hmmm strange. I only mentioned it because it was the first time I've noticed any slowdown on a near flawless racer. Maple Valley should be the next free track!

What view do you use when driving? I ask because I mainly use "bonnet cam" on occasions though I switch to "in-car" view and the slowdown/frame rate drop I get on Le Mans is worse when using in-car.

Maple Valley would be good, I really enjoyed this track in the past, mind you I'd still rather the Nurburg, hopefully that will release at some point.

 

I mix it up a bit Lofty. The majority of the time I use the chase cam but I do like the in-car view as it gives you a good sense of speed and its always nice to view the interior detail. I tend to stay away from bonnet cam though.

Not looking forward to going back to D Class after driving an F1 car - driving a tank through treacle springs to mind!

 

I don't know how you can race inside the car. I need to see my full vehicle. In all my years of gaming I have never been able to race well using the inside car-cam. Nice track though I must say, I had a quite test on it the night before last. Its lovely!



I do remember the devs saying it would take a LONG time to create more tracks though. So my guess is these new ones were midway through finished during release maybe?
