Forza Motorsport 5 Vs Horizon 2

Hi Everyone,

I need to decide which game to pick between the 2.

Can anyone highlight the big differences ?

What i am looking for is :

0. Great offline game play

1. Least in game transactions

2. Fast start up and getting into a race

3. 2 player split screen support ( I know only Motorsport 5 has this)

Also Are the graphics on Horizon 2 only marginally superior or significantly better than Motorsport 5?

I am willing to purchase both too if they are radically different from each other and its worthwhile having them

But Ideally I would like to buy just one.

What does it feel like to play on Dedicated Servers?

Here are some games that I know run on dedicated servers:

Titanfall

Killer Instinct

Forza Horizon 2

Forza Motorsport 5

Forza Motorsport 6

Destiny

Halo 5

 

XBOX at E3 2015.

Windows 10 information would be great. I am dying to know when we can expect it to transition to Xbox One and Phones.

And Forza Motorsports 6 is no doubt releasing at the end of the year.

I have 1 worry now regarding Forza... I hope this is not a release pattern now. Forza Motorsports 4 2011, Forza Horizon 2012 Forza Motorsports 5 2013, Forza Horizon 2 2014, Forza Motorsports 6 2015, Forza Horizon 3 2016, Forza Motorsports 7 2017.... and
so on.

But it already look like that is how it is going to be.

 

They are radically different from each other. FM5 is a circuit racing game. Horizon is an open world racing game. Graphics and gameplay are great in both games. The real decision is whether you only want circuit racing (FM5) or whether you want open world
racing with street races, circuit races, off road races, speed traps/cameras, etc...

They are both interesting to me - so I have both.

 

in forza 5 the races is close unlike the horizon 2 its open i mean u can just hanging around without entering races but i prefer forza 5

 

Both are great but to be honest, I think I like 5 a bit more. Horizon 2 is grate and all but the races can get crazy and a crash fest.

 

I've never been a big fan of the Horizon games. The races combined with the pretentious festival approach and the mediocre interface just don't do it for me. I went with Forza 5, which was a step back from 4 in and of itself...

 

I have both. Horizon is the best racing game I have played to date. Forza 5.....let just say i cant trade this game in fast enough. I would not even recommend it even if it was free!

 

All down to personal preference, at the end of the day. Need to ask yourself, "would I prefer open world, or track racing...?!".
