Forza- In-game purchases?

I was fortunate enough to be able to find an X-Box Series S for my son for Christmas. We have been Nintendo loyalists for decades, so I'm clueless here. He specifically wants to play Forza. I know that on most of his Switch games (Fortnite, Gear Club 2,
etc) there are add-ons (skins, tracks, etc) that he buys with Nintendo gift cards.

I can't tell if Forza has a similar set-up, add if it does, whether you can purchase extras with X-box gift cards. The cards only mention that they can be used to buy the actual games. If it would be useful, I want to get him a gift card to go with the console,
but if purchasing add-ons isn't a "thing" with X-box, then I wouldn't want to waste the money, since my understanding is that the actual games are included with the game-pass subscription. Would appreciate any help- thanks!

Yes, Forza does have add-ons that can be purchased and the funds from Xbox gift cards can be used for those purchases.

I purchased the Forza Hot Wheels but it only loads Forza Horizon? How do you get the Hot Wheels game?

You may have purchased the Forza under that account or if you have an Xbox game pass under that account, Forza is included on the catalog.

that is an addon(DLC) for Forza Horizon 4, you can either purchase the main game or purchase gamepass and get access to the main game.

view your Xbox purchase history online
to confirm the purchase for Forza Horizon 4. If you do not see a transaction for the game, the game was then redeemed on the Game Pass. The game Forza Horizon 4 is available on the

Game Pass Library.
