    Forza Hub showing Chinese!?

Hi, I've got Forza Motorsport 6 running on both Windows 10 (Apex) and Xbox One. I also use Forza Hub to collect all rewards from activities in Forza Motorsport 4, Horizon 1 & 2, etc...

For some reason my Forza Hub thinks it needs to present me with Chinese characters!? I.e. the dates using month and day Chinese characters in the News & Events section, and even at the bottom at the Games section it's showing me how slabs of Chinese text
probably telling me news about Forza Horizon 3 and Motorsport Apex!?

I've checked my Xbox Live settings, as well as my Windows 10 configuration (and other than having installed Chinese as a language in the Windows 10 Region & Language settings, but not set as default), I can't understand why it would choose Chinese as a language?
There seems to be no settings of such in the Forza Hub or Xbox App themselves!?

Please help... or is this a bug?

    :)

  2. Problems with Forza Hub

Ah, gotcha. Just to clarify, your Gamerscore for Forza games is showing correctly when you view the achievements on your Xbox profile, but the total Gamerscore is showing incorrectly within the Forza Hub app?

In that case, we would recommend creating a post on the
    official Forza support forums
so a member of the Forza team can take a closer look into this with you.

    Forza Hub showing Chinese!?

    Hey Sjoerd69!

Is the Forza Hub the only Windows 10 app that you encounter this issue on? To clarify, which specific language packs do you have installed on your Windows 10 PC (For example, do you have Simplified or Traditional installed)?

Additionally, ensure your desired display language is at the top of your Language preferences list. If it's not, select the desired language and click 'Move up' until it's at the top if it isn't already.

Let us know so we can help narrow down the issue further! Forza Hub showing Chinese!? :)

Two languages installed. English (Australia) on top as Windows display language and Keyboard layout: US (and date, time, and number formatting.

Then simplified Chinese and Microsoft Pinyin as second/lower option.

Forza Hub is the only App where I have noticed this problem and then particular all date formatting [in Forza Horizon 3 demo announcement on top in News & Events section], and descriptions in the Games section. Strangely enough Text in News & Events and
Galleries section seem fine in English!? The Xbox App doesn't have this problem and shows all in English. Including date formats, etc.

If you give me a way to share a screenshot, I'll send you one.

Thanks for the information! I also received your PM with the screen shots, that helps a lot!

Let's start by simply uninstalling the Forza Hub and reinstalling it back on. To do that, search for the Forza Hub in Windows, right click the Forza Hub app tile and selecting 'Uninstall'.

If the issue persists, the next step will be temporarily removing the Chinese language pack. To do this, navigate to your Language settings in the control panel and select 'Options' next to the Chinese language you have installed and select 'Uninstall language
    pack' within the options screen.

Once it's done uninstalling, follow the pop-up prompt to restart your PC. After the restart, check if the Forza app displays fine and report back! (If it displays fine, go ahead and add Chinese back to your PC through the language settings in Control Panel
and see if the issue pops back up).

Let us know how it goes!

Although I had just recently installed Forza Hub, I did as asked. Uninstalled Forza Hub, and then reinstalled it. Still having the Chinese character behaviour.

Then I did remove the Simplified Chinese from the Language settings, which indeed resolved the Forza Hub problem of showing Chinese formatted dates and Game descriptions in Chinese.

A bit strange, and clearly a bug, as my default language settings (as everywhere else is visible) was clearly on the default English (Australia) setting. So somewhere a conditional statement is checking to wrong setting?!

    Cheers...

Just to finish this off. It is very easy to replicate. As soon as I installed the Chinese Simplified language pack, Forza Hub uses Chinese date formatting and displays the Games Descriptions and the bottom in Chinese again. And as soon as I remove the language
it is back to normal English.

Note that I just install the language pack for Chinese character input purposes, so I can switch between the default English input and Chinese Pinyin when needed for some Chinese typing, not for changing the actual display language of Windows! For the rest
this is a full English version of Windows 10 Pro Anniversary.
