    Hello,

    I'm experiencing a crash when launching Forza Horizon 5.

    My Specs are:

    OS: Windows 10 Pro (v 10.0.19043 Build 19043)

    Motherboard: MSI X570 Gaming Plus (MS-7C37)

    CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X 12core 24threads @ 4.18Ghz

    RAM: 16GB 3200Mhz DDR4 (2 x 8GB)

    GPU: RTX 3070 8GB VRAM (Driver: 526.47)

    This is the event details I am seeing for ForzaHorizon5.exe inside Event Viewer. I also have the same issue while launching Grounded.

    I have tried the following solutions:

    - Launching game with disabled internet

    - Updating all drivers including Windows Updates

    - Launching game with disabled Windows Security and disabled Windows Firewall

    - Disabled Game Mode

    - Launched game isolated with no other .exe running (closed Discord, Logitech G Hub, Snap Camera, GeForce Experience)

    - Ran several commands inside command prompt to verify SSD / M.2 integrity including

    - sfc /scannow | chkdsk /r | chkdsk /f | DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    - Ran Forza Horizon as Administrator

    - Reset/Repair MS Store

    - Reset/Repair Xbox App

    - Reset/Repair Forza Horizon 5

    - Disabled Development Mode using Windows PowerShell

    - Switched through all Windows Power Plans and launched the game every time

    - Restarted my PC

    - Booted PC in Safe Mode and attempted to Launch

    - Reinstalled Xbox App & Xbox Gaming Services & Xbox Identity Provider

    - Ensured that all 3rd party & Windows overlays are disabled (Xbox Game Bar, NVIDIA Shadow Play, Discord)

    - Deleted %temp% files within Windows Explorer.

    And finally I even re-installed both games (Forza & Grounded)

    None of these have solved the issue at hand. I also saw this was reported a while back with another user but that was a different error code.

    What could I do?

    Hi, how did you reinstalling your OS?

    Via Windows settings or using a USB drive?

    If you did it via Windows settings the next step will be using a USB drive

    The other option is try installing Windows 11 if you're able to do it and see if maybe the game works there.

    If you already tried even with a USB drive and using Windows 11 as well, sadly it seems that your specific hardware configuration is not compatible with the game

    Hello Josef,

    I have tried every solution. Nothing has worked unfortunately.

    I even tried the in-place upgrade, which infact locked me out of my PC and I had to switch my hard-disks around again as it had caused an issue with something else within Windows OS backend.

    What more could I do or possibly try? I have followed every step from the Forza support page and also tried reinstalling my OS. I am very annoyed as I have xbox game pass and would like to play this game.

    May I know if you tried to increase the virtual memory in your PC?

    Hello,

    I checked my Virtual Memory and I can see the recommended amount is approx 3000MB. My system automatically allocated approx 13000MB for this.

    I'll go into my BIOS settings and disable the Game Boost that MSI Motherboards offer and see if this changes anything. If this does not work I will go forward with the in-place OS upgrade.
